Therapy and support for your journey to and through parenthood
You probably imagined that getting pregnant, having a baby, becoming a mother, and raising a family would be an exciting, joy-filled journey. But for many women and couples, this phase of life is fraught with challenges.
Up to this point in your life, you’ve been able to problem-solve any issue that has come up. There are times that has been easier to do than others, but you’ve still been able to rely on yourself to “fix” whatever it is.
But now you’ve become a parent and suddenly you can’t figure out how to feel better. You’ve tried your usual tricks and tips. They’ve barely moved the needle.
Problems with mood and anxiety are common around the time of pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to parenting… and they affect both, moms and dads.
The good news is: individual and couples therapy can help. The transition to parenthood isn’t easy and trying to tough it out on your own just makes it harder.
I offer professional online counseling services for moms, parents, and couples in Florida.
You don’t have to feel alone in your journey.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider in the state of Florida, I am the founder and owner of Mindful Seeds Therapy and I have years of clinical experience working with moms and parents.
My passion and specialty is empowering moms, parents and couples who are expecting, entering the world of parenthood, or facing other life struggles such as communication issues or conflict resolution struggles.
The mission of Mindful Seeds focuses on the idea of growth through love and compassion. Like gardening, the path toward mental health and growth takes time, care, and patience as the seeds of empathy, self-love, and hope gradually take root, flourish, and thrive.
As your therapist, I am committed to providing you with a safe, secure, and judgment free space to get to know yourself better and explore the patterns present in your daily living and relationships.
You’re seeking a therapist who listens but also helps. Someone who won’t just sit back and let you talk and talk without seeming to offer any input. Someone who also doesn’t just share about themselves and leave you feeling like “this is that counseling process everyone raves about?”
Someone who will pull up a seat and actually offer a way forward.
You’re looking for real steps that make an action-plan. You want tools to help with the “now” but you also want to build a skill set you can rely on in the future. At the same time, you’re also seeking some deeper conversation: clarity of values; stronger sense of self; understanding of how events of the past have brought you to where you are today.
My first priority is to make sure you feel heard, understood and validated. I will listen without judgment, I will be careful with your trust, and I will create a safe space where you can be vulnerable and open. I don’t have a planned agenda or a check-list with how each session has to go, I meet each client, or couple where they are at.
My goal is to work collaboratively with you and develop a personalized integrative approach to therapy that is focused on realistic solutions, highlights your strengths, and is conducive to your overall quality of life. I embrace the idea that everyone has a different personality, different concerns, relational problems and history of life experiences.
